WCCF Testimony 2011-2012 Legislative Session

The Wisconsin Council on Children and Families (WCCF) is dedicated to making sure every child is brought up in a nurturing family and a just community.  WCCF has identified policies that promote a safe and healthy environment for all our children. 

Throughout the legislative session, WCCF Policy Advisors testify on bills that affect the lives of children and families.  WCCF may testify in support or opposition on these bills.  Sometimes WCCF Policy Advisors are called upon to give information and research on bills to help legislators learn more about the proposed policy.  Please use this webpage to review WCCF testimony on legislative bills.

Campaigns and Elections

Opposition to Assembly Bill 7, requiring a certain government issued photo ID to vote. Executive Director Ken Taylor to Members of the Assembly Election and Campaign Reform Committee(April 26, 2011).

Opposition to Senate Bill 6, requiring a certain government issued photo ID to vote. Executive Director Ken Taylor to Members of the Senate Transportation and Elections Committee (January 26, 2011).

Child Safety

Support of Assembly Bill 291 - Coalition (AAA Wisconsin, Children’ Hospital of Wisconsin, Wisconsin Medical Society, Froedtert Health, Wisconsin Council on Children & Families, Wisconsin Sheriff & Deputy Sheriff Association, American Family Insurance, Independent Insurance Agents of Wisconsin, State Farm Insurance, Wisconsin Insurance Alliance) strongly supports restrictions on the operation of motor vehicles by persons holding instruction permits or probationary licenses and providing a penalty, which is on the Assembly Calendar for Tuesday, February 21, 2012 (Februray 20, 2012).

Juvenile Justice
