Brain Project

Research by leading neuroscientists has led to an expanded understanding
of how the human brain develops throughout childhood and adolescence.
Through public awareness and training The Brain Project works to ensure
that those who work with and on behalf of children and adolescents better
understand the relationship between brain biology and the impacts of life
experiences on the developing brain.

Website Spotlight:
University of Oregon Brain Development Lab

Terrific site for new parents (or any parent!), caregivers – anyone who cares about children! On the left border, click on “watch online” to chose among nine wonderful video clips – each about 4.5 minutes. Also, check out the very comprehensive list of resources on these same nine topics.

A great site!!

I know virtually nothing about Iphones, apps, etc., but I know many of you do!! So, you may, if you have $5 in iTunes, want to check out This Emotional Life (seen on PBS) hosted by Harvard University social psychologist Daniel Gilbert. It “focuses on the gripping stories of Americans who have fallen victim to their emotions; you will feel strong connections to the people you are watching.”
