Pathway to Higher Education: Credit for Prior Learning

Kids and teachers both do better when early childhood teachers have at least a two-year degree. But the share of teachers with academic credentials has been declining for several years. Credit for prior learning is a promising strategy for improving the quality of early education by awarding credit for previous non-credit training.
