For 135 years the Wisconsin Council on Children and Families has been working hard to move children and families forward-whether that meant fighting tuberculosis in the 1890’s, helping families access mental health services in the 1950’s, or advocating for fair and just communities today. No matter the day, the year, or the issue, WCCF works tirelessly to see that every child in our state has the opportunity to succeed in life.
That’s never going to change. But as our communities, state, and world evolves, WCCF must evolve too. We’ve come a long way since we were established in 1881 as the “Wisconsin Conference of Charities and Corrections,” but we still have a lot of work to do: far too many of our children are being left behind and too many families are left in despair.
So as our state motto inspires us to do, let’s move forward. Let’s work together so every child, every family, and every community can thrive. Help us take a big step in our organization’s history at our annual event, Step Forward for Kids. You won’t want to miss it!
