WI Early Childhood Collaborating Partners: In addition to the books listed above, this website features highlights and profiles of collaborative programs and regional activities. You can find other Wisconsin documents related to collaboration and early childhood such as the Head Start Collaboration Manual and the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards. There is also a comparison of kindergarten, child care, and Head Start regulations, and sample interagency agreements. This site is being revamped to include a page dedicated to 4K (photos of existing programs will be posted) and a "Community Briefs" section with success stories from existing collaborations. Department of Public Instruction (DPI) Early Childhood: Four-Year Old Kindergarten Website: This website provides school district and other community partners' relevant information on four-year-old kindergarten statutes, funding, policy, practices, and guiding principals. There is a slide show that will answer specific questions on 4-year-old kindergarten as well as links to the Wisconsin School Board Association Magazine articles on community approaches. You can also find the Forces44 listserv on this site. This listserv is designed for communication between the agencies, associations, and individuals interested in community approaches to 4-year-old kindergarten. The listserv provides a mechanism to share information, resources, and experiences in support of community approaches to 4K. Wisconsin Council on Children and Families (WCCF): WCCF is the lead agency for the Early Education Matters project described above. www.wccf.org. WCCF is a member and the lead training organization for the Wisconsin State Brain Team. The "Brain Team" offers regular training opportunities in the area of brain research. Check out the WCCF website for the upcoming training opportunities and more information about Early Education Matters including public policy briefs and opportunities to participate in advocacy activities.
The Wisconsin Child Care Research Partnership: This web site includes all of the policy briefs and policy reports from the Research Partnership in recent years, plus evaluation reports on a number of quality initiatives in the state. The Wisconsin Early Childhood Association- This membership agency for child care providers has a variety of resources including training opportunities, scholarship and bonus program information for child care providers to advance their level of credit-based education and more.
